The University of Minnesota Tae Kwon Do Club meets during Fall and Spring sessions, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 5:00-7:00 PM in Multipurpose Room 1 of the RecWell Center. To get to Multipurpose Room 1, enter through the RecWell Center on the first floor, just off Harvard St. then go up to the second floor and around the corner on the right. The Room will be on the right hand side, before you enter the old Rec Center building.
Our activities during practice include self-defense, forms, kicking drills, sparring, meditation, study of the philosophy behind Taekwondo, and others. Feel free to stop in during one of our practices and get a feel for what we do. We offer three free practices for you to decide if you would like become a member. If you should decide to join we ask $75 per semester. Bring a uniform if you have one (workout clothes otherwise) and be ready to have fun! We offer a week for you to try out our club to see if we can offer what you are looking for. If you decide to join our club, we ask that you purchase a uniform; these will be available through the club at a discounted price.
Tae Kwon Do is a great way to meet new people, get excerise, and gain focus and discipline which may be applied to many aspects of life.
